3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 5000 (4974) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - APR 28, 2013
Bottle:   Amberish, a little darker than other Heller Bocks, moderate frothy off-white head, fairly decent lacing.
Sweet mealy nose, pale breadiness.   Smells the part.   Soft caramel like malts up front, soft breadiness,
fairly clean overall.   Slightly heavier than others, which is fine.   Seems to become a bit more bready and sticky
towards the finish.   Decent example overall, fairly clean, with a soft combination of grassy and caramel malts, and a
smidgen of fruitiness

Bottle-light amber color with a small white head. Aroma has some hops, but ends up mostly malty. Some sweet caramel in the taste with a base of malts. The finish is malty and not bitter.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Lemke10 (540) - Janesville, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 14, 2013
This pours a semi-clear, dark amber color with a fluffy beige head. The scent is mostly yeast and malts with no prelude of what to expect in the taste. The taste is a complex blend of yeast, citrus, malts, and bread that finishes with an ever so slight bitterness. There’s a lot going on here making it very tasty and enjoyable. It drinks smooth and has great volume. Quite well made.
3.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 thedm (4773) - Fort Wayne, USA - DEC 29, 2012
This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a large sized head of foamy finely sized tan colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a softly carbonated transparent copper brown colored body and a thick foamy lacing. The mild aroma was malty and toasted malt. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start mediumly tingly at the finish. The flavor contained notes of Vienna malt and caramel. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

12oz bottle. Caramel malts, some toast, little maple. Light chocolate. Grainy aroma. Little rye. Bitter sweet taste. Softer, smooth carbonation, not too strong. Medium body. Clear copper color. Thin light khaki head, some loose bits of lace. Little earthy hops. Solid bock, better than expected.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Leighton (6955) - London, ENGLAND - SEP 19, 2012
Bottle shared with Chris in NYC. Pours faintly hazy gold with a light, white cream head. Nose is big, sugary malts, bread, some caramel. Big sweet flavor, just tons of sugary, bready malts, some light berries, very mild leaves. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Very sweet finish, sticky and toasty sugars, thick bread. Very simplistic and sweet, but fine.
