Pours a warm light golden brown with a heterogeneous greyish white head. A rather yeasty nose for a lager, bigger malt, some sweeter round toast. Floral to lightly spicy hops, some alcohol. Creamy full mouthfeel, and a bit of viscosity. The flavor is on par with the nose, though more dominated by toast and darker malts than the nose. Alcohol comes out more too. Hops as well. But yeah, still, the toast. A fruity toast at that, reminds me of strawberries slightly. A grassy hop like after taste following a creamy alcoholic finish. About what I expect from Mendocino.

Poured a clear copper color with an off-white head. The aroma is malty with notes of caramel and dried fruits. Toffe and fruity flavor. Semi- dry finish. Medium bodied.

12 oz. bottle: A clear amber pour fills the glass while a smallish tan head rises on top. The aroma is earthy with heavy yeast notes and cabbage-like vegetal notes. Not inticing, but I press on. The body is light and crisp, with lots of sweet cherry and caramel, with a citrusy hop finish. The same vegetal note lingers beneath. Clean up the DMS, oxidationor whatever it is, and this could be a nice beer.

Bottle. Pours coppery reddish-blonde. Small white capping. Not much head. Fruity aromas include banana. Some honey too as well as date or palm sugar. Dry and fruity. Slight oxidation in the finish and the chalky flavors mar what would otherwise be a solid brew.

Bottle. Rich copper/amber beer with an off-white head. Malt and light grass aroma with light mineral tones. Malt flavor with light mineral and light spice. Medium-light bodied. Lingering malt, light grain, and light hops.

This had a sweetish, cereal malt aroma that I really enjoyed - something from my youth somehow, maybe Sugar Smacks. Cloudy light brown. Bad clipart label. Bitter, toasted lager malt, latent fruitiness, wood, lime pith. It was unusual, can’t say I loved it though. ABV is laid bare in the finish. Medium mouth. New Leaf Market.

A decent if not typical heller bock. Aroma of honey, caramel malt and bread. Pour was a semi thick dark gold with a thin off white ring for a head. Taste was sticky and sweet. Caramel malt, honey and dirt in the front with a suprisingly dry and bitter aftertaste. Not too bad for this brewer.

Smells of malts and is a gold color with a tan lacing. Tastes of malts and caramel, but sadly this one is not very good. Come to think of it I hadnt had many Mendocino that I really liked!
