Amber pour with an off-white head. Malty nose with some caramel. Flavor is a lightly bready malt with a surprising amount of sweetness. Nice body. Enjoyable.

12 oz bottle: Pours a light amber color, clear, with a slightly off white/tan head that lingers at the top of the glass. Aroma is nice caramel malt texture, graininess, toffee, and just a really nice robust aroma. Taste is got a nice malt characteristic, some sweetness, going through the toffee, into a really nice finish. Palate is almost sweet on the lips, nice ad malty bitter on the tongue, and the finish is this lingering malty sweetness. Overall, I thought I wouldn’t like this brew, but I’m really enjoying it. Cheers!

From bottle... poured very nice copper with white head. Aroma was weak with a floral hint. Bitter grassy taste with nice, dry finish. I definitely enjoyed this one. Too bd it was the last bottle in the shop.

Bottle... Clear copper/amber lager with a small, creamy, white head. The aroma is all about toffee and biscuit malts fetched together with citric, acidic hops. Also, hints of pineapple and apricot. Full-bodied and chewy with medium carbonation. Toffee and pineapple sweetness dominate, but good mineral bitterness provides near-perfect balance. Lengthy, grassy, medium bitter finish. Nice Maibock!

Pours copper amber with a nice off-white fluffy head with lots of lacing. Aroma is resinous. The taste is bitter citrus grapefruit and the bitter funk of the noble hops. Good amount of sweet malts. Palate is good and rich. Some wine-like qualities due to high 7% abv. Overall a decent change of pace brew.

There are displays of this stuff in more than one place in Total Wine so I figured I’d give it a try. Pours a dark gold or amber color with a thick foamy off white head. A lot of lacing on the glass. Aroma is floral with bready malts and perhaps a touch of caramel but most of it is rather subtle. Medium bodied, clean and refreshing. The flavor starts with some caramel malt with hops staying in the background. It finishes with a touch of bitter hops. Smooth and easy drinking. Didn’t wow with flavor but there’s enough there to make it a solid beer. I didn’t know what to expect with this and in the end I am pleased. Give it a try.

Poured a very deep golden almost amber hue with a mild malty nose. Very nice slightly off white head with excellent retention. Taste is very rich full bodied and has nice sweet malts balanced perfectly with the noble hops. This was a very enjoyable beer that finished with a refreshing dry yet sweet lingering flavor. A great addition to the Mendocino seasonal portfolio~
