Pours a transparent copper amber with a thin, wispy lacing white head. Aroma of sweet toasty caramely German malt with a touch of biscuity character and noble hops. Starts with good fullness and sweet caramel flavor with a touch of fresh piny hops before a drier, more bitter peppery finish. Pretty true to style and drinkable.

On tap. Amber color with white head and good lacing. Aroma is of yeast and hops. Nice maltiness, vienna malt, hoppy flavor with citrus/floral. Hops bitterness lingers in the finish. Very nice.

Clear copper orange with a thin but lasting off white cover. Sweet fruity toffee, caramel malt aroma. Taste is more caramel, apples, some citrus, then a lightly bitter grassy finish.

2009 Bottle - Pours a lt orange with a small hite head...aroma is a bit musty, like old proofed dough, slightly citrusy...flavour is similar, malty with hop bitters on the front end, finishes dry, with a lingering ceral quality...meh...

12-oz. Thanks, Headbanger! Pours a crystal clear, slightly rubied amber. Decent, though short-lived, whitish head. Cola, moth balls, brown bread, and sourdough on the nose. Creamy medium body with prickly carb. The cola, moth balls, brown bread, and sourdough come back for the mid-palate. Mild, slightly sour finish.

Poured from 12oz bottle into pint glass. Aroma - Malty with notes of toffee, dried figs and a little bit grassy. Appearance - Dark copper in color, slightly cloudy, with 2 finger off-white head. Flavor - Lots of flavor. Malt, toffee, dried fruit. Some grassy hops and a bit warming on the finish on the finish. Palate - A bit slick. Low carbonation. Overall - This is very tasty. Has a fresh quality about it. You don’t really notice the slightly higher (7%) ABV.
