This was the case here with this beer, although the levels were a bit more manageable. A vegetative nose with some caramel sweetness as the DMS dissipates. The beer is amber in color with a nice creamy one-finger thick head. Flavors had a strange earthy/grassy character that really didn’t sit well with what I like. Pours a generally clear dark amber color with a thin tan head. Aroma is sweet with notes of malt, ripe fresh fruit, honey, caramel, some slight notes of chocolate. Flavor is sweet and malty with notes of caramel, honey, toffee, and candy sugar. Some hints of ripe fresh fruit and bread. Generally medium body with a sweet and malty finish. Better than I expected.
