Commercial Description:
This Select Special Edition Summer Ale is an unfiltered and refreshingly smooth white ale. It is brewed with malted barley and unmalted wheat. This wheat ale features a blend of spices. A hint of orange peel and a twist of lemon makes this ale a thirst quenching experience you will savor!

Bottle, shared by Taylor. Looks like some dark lemon juice with an alka-seltzer or something similar dissolving in It. Smell is familiar and plain. Flavor has a bit of a corny finish. Okay, but a little below average for the style in my opinion.

Pours a merky golden color with a huge white foamy head. Has a lot of floaters. Aroma of yeast and citrus. Taste of lime and spice. A little thin on taste

12 oz bottle as "Summer Seasonal White Ale." Pours a cloudy golden color, medium sized white head. Aroma contained spices, yeast, orange peel. Flavor was yeast, orange. A decent Belgian white ale for warm summer days.

Pours cloudy yellow with a slight gold tint, has a 3-4 finger fluffy white head that has good retention and leaves decent lacing.. Aroma is orange peel, spice, yeasty bread, a little wheat, and a general fruity tone. Flavor is coriander, cloves, anise, licorice, sweet wheat bread, yeasty pizza crust dough, some orange peel, a little lemon and strawberry taffy. Finish is yeast, coriander, and peppery yeast. Palate is medium bodied, with a slightly chalky feel and is pretty sticky on the lips. A decent witbier all around, nothing special though.

Pours a cloudy light yellow with a one to two finger creamy eggshell head. The aroma is mild and subdued, some spice, mild yeast character, orange peel. Flavor shows light orange peel, mild sweetness, spice, anise, yeasty. Crisp palate with a spicy finish. Tasty.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a cloudy yellow gold with a moderate white head that lasts almost until the end and leaves partial lace. Nice bright aroma of lemon along with a bit of spice. The flavor, unfortunately, falls flat on its face. Grainy up front followed by some stale, almost mildewy, lemon. Mouthfeel is waxy and feels like it is leaving a residue. Started out promising, but a disappointing beer.

Bottle called Mendocino Summer Seasonal White Ale. The body was hazy straw yellow with a bright white head. Smells of cloves and old potatoes. There is a little bit of lemon zest. A very highly carbonated body with some orange peels and coriander. There was a little bit of woody character, but the citrus sweetness blew right past that wood. Decent for the style.

Yellow pour with white head. Aroma of citrus and spices. It’s o.k. but not one of my favorites.
