COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
White Hawk is a traditional IPA .The IPA recipe is based on the original 1880 brew that was sent to India for the British troops. The advent of India Pale Ale was born of a need to supply beer in the 1800’s to British troops in India. This hearty, heavily hopped ale was brewed to endure the rigors of the long voyage from Great Britain.

White Hawk Original IPA was launched in California in early 2002 to meet the demand for a unique India Pale Ale. Consumer response for White Hawk IPA exceeded expectations and it is fast gaining a loyal following both in 6 pack and on draft.

12oz bottle. Slightly hazy amber color, minimal white head, lots of bubbles. Lighter carbonation, a little sharp. Light bitter and caramel-malty-sweet taste. Spicy hops, kind of biting. Not a drinkable IPA.

Bottle. Red, amber color. Fluffy head lasts and lace on the side of glass... smells of bead, banana and grass. A really nice sweet and hoppy IPA. ABV surprises me, but pretty decent

12 oz bottle that pours a light amber with a thin white foamy head. The aroma is maltier than a typical west coast style IPA. Not much floral hop aroma. There is more than a hint of hops in the taste but it is sweeter than I prefer. Overall, not a bad beer but I would not consider this a goto IPA for the hopheads.

Pours amber with a white head and aroma of pine and hops. Taste is of pine, grapefruit, and hops with a bitter, dry finish and hoppy character. Solid, drinkable IPA.

Pours copper rusty color with a citrusy aroma. Nice dissipating head. Nice bitterness with citrus bursting through, especially grapefruit and pine. All in all nice deep flavor with a medium finish. Better than their stout....Quaff score ( drinkability especially with hearty enjoyment ) 7 / 10 ......nice lacing

12oz poured into a pint. Solid and moving orange rust copper stained neon sunshine. Taste is hoppy up front, then bland as the hops seems ti dissapear within settelement. The abv is a surprise and I wondered at times if it is adequatley labeled. But maybe more than one or two would prove my hypothesis. Goes down easy, but I wish it contained a more hopful presense and chimed in more on the citrus level. Particuarly the grapefruit level. But the hawk is a decent ahd quite drinkable IPA.

12 oz bottle. Got this in a beer of the month thing. Pours a coppor color with little head. Smells of light citrus, but only a bit of hops. Tastes of light citrus, a fair bit of malt, and some hops. Not terribly complex taste, but decent body to it. Overall not too bad, but nothing outstanding.

From bottle to tulip. Initially didn’t like aroma..a bit sweet. Taste is very smooth bitter hopiness but a little sweet.
