COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
White Hawk is a traditional IPA .The IPA recipe is based on the original 1880 brew that was sent to India for the British troops. The advent of India Pale Ale was born of a need to supply beer in the 1800’s to British troops in India. This hearty, heavily hopped ale was brewed to endure the rigors of the long voyage from Great Britain.

White Hawk Original IPA was launched in California in early 2002 to meet the demand for a unique India Pale Ale. Consumer response for White Hawk IPA exceeded expectations and it is fast gaining a loyal following both in 6 pack and on draft.

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Clear amber with a nice white head. Aroma is mix of hops and malts. Flavor very consistent with aroma balanced with some caramel. Overall an easy to drink well balanced beer, great to have in the fridge but nothing spectacular.

Brewed in Saratoga Springs, NY. Resinous hop aroma with a surprisingly profound caramel background. Bitter fruity flavor, grapefruit I guess, malt fades compared to the scent. Foggy orange color. Crisp body, goes down easy for a relatively high strength to body-weight. Nice label design.

Very malty. Okay maybe this was what an IPA was at one time... that was then... this is now. Just skip it. Not an IPA, unless you want to pretend... may be the right thing for those not ready to step up to the big plate.

Well-balanced, easy to drink; typical Mendocino quality. Pour is nice; the nose is even better. Not as aggressive as a lot of IPAs but very solid. The ABV is masked really well. Becoming one of my go-to beers.

Custom craft glass. Aroma includes spruce and has a boring light orange color nice foam head. Overall a very light tasting IPA especially for 7%. Would recommend buying again in a 6 pack.

Bottle - Big hop fruit aroma, some sweetness and pine. Clear amber with a thick rich huge head. Candy floss flavour with a decent amount of bitterness. Sweetness really one sided, but still pleasant.
