Oakes (6853), Miami Beach, Florida, USA May 9, 2008 Hazy amber. Fresh orangey, woodsy aroma. Rich, sustained bitterness. Lemony, grapefruity middle. Dry and richly hoppy finish. Solid.
Steinface (74), Hatfield, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 2, 2008 I think my problem is that I always love the smell of an IPA, but usually not the taste. Not the best I’ve had, but not bad. lithy (137), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Aug 18, 2008 Dark golden color, small dissipating white head leaves just a cover. Light aromas, a little malty and slight hoppiness. Taste is bland and not too hoppy for an IPA. Good but uninteresting. Sparky27 (516), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Aug 16, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours a clear dark gold with one finger beige head and decent lacing. Nose is pine and citrus. Taste is sweet citrus hops upfront that fades into a weird metallic bitter finish. Medium mouth feel. Starts off great but that metal taste killed it for me. buzzoven (121), Japan Aug 15, 2008 Updated: Aug 20, 2008Malted hop aroma, faint grassy smell. Flavour comes out weak...like hitting a brick wall and just sliding down. Mouthfeel is a bit slick and medium bodied. Some fine bitter notes in the aftertaste; but comes across more like a watery Pale Ale than a proper IPA. File under "meh..." NomDeBeer (148), Baltimore, Maryland, USA Aug 14, 2008 This is a respectable beer, but it just doesn’t have enough hops to satisfy - something that is rarely said about west coast IPA’s. Very drinkable though.
