Dacrza (164), Great Meadows, New Jersey, USA Apr 14, 2008 Orange-tan medium effervescent body with a healthy white cumulus cloud head, half-inch after settling--attractively sits in its snifter... hops-like pine and fresh-cut grass--a bit fruity as well... pleasant and medium-bodied--lacking weight? only slightly effervescent... immediate presence in the throat--evens out over the tongueand spruces up in time...the lingering presence is a bit punchy...this IPA sneaks up on you, with little fanfare and less power than the other members of the ABV-heavy IPA brotherhood... smoothed out a Cavs’ loss, and fits reasonably well with the others in this sampler...
JohnC (1760), Mission Viejo, California, USA Oct 3, 2008 sampled at a bevmo tasting,
nice hoppy flavor, but not over the top. This beer had some good balance branspra (47), Arlington, Virginia, USA Sep 28, 2008 Bottle. Average head with light brown color. Good lacing and color was amber. Aromas of roasted grain, pear, and brown sugar. Very bitter aftertaste and more aroma needed to get this beer to the next level. mgraider86 (6), Waterford, California, USA does not count Sep 24, 2008 Six pack that I got had special IPA written on the bottle. Poured a decent head with a nice hoppy aroma. In the heat of the summer this beer is very tasty. I like this one! ethomson (35), Huntington Beach, California, USA Sep 20, 2008 First off, just need to state that IPA’s are not my favorite beers. So this rating may not help you. Super bitter! Hoppy aroma with a nice dark amber tint to the pour. This has got to be the strongest tasting pale ale I’ve tried yet. But, I say try for yourself. patrick820 (68), San Luis Obispo, California, USA Sep 19, 2008 Bottle from Trader Joe’s. Pours hazy copper, with a big white head, not much arom, flavor is pretty boring, malt and bitter hops. below average IPA, i must add that beer from trader joes is old a lot of times, also the don’t refrigerate, so this might be a lot better from somewhere else.
