3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pretty good, although the chosen hops were real musty funky hops. It was clean refreshing filtered goldish red beer. Aroma is hard to find but is there. Overall it is a good ipa.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Golden amber with small white head. Nose is fairly sweet, light pine dirty hops. Similar flavor with a bit of booze and dirt. Slightly cloying. This is much worse than it was in 2005.

How fresh is this? Maybe itís a dulled English style. Amber with a bunch of crap floating everywhere. Big fluffy light tan head that leaves messy lacing. Smells of wet biscuits, lemon and maybe orange and possibly fading flowers - not sure about that. This isnít quite what I was hoping for. The taste is ok and Iíd say that this would be massively drinkable in large quantities. That said I was hoping for something much different. Candy and not quite spice, cinammony pepper pepper minus most of the cinnamon - vkgsurbrnchhfjfj. Red candy. Biscuit, watery pine, there is good bitterness but it comes in litre yet lasts quite long. Good carbs. Not much positive here aside from the price. I expected sooooo much more.

I thought it was a decent session beer. The hops were sharper than I remember in the Red Hawk, but it didnt overwhelm my senses.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
From the bottle to a tulip. Pours hazy copper with white head. Aroma is pine, citrus zest(but minimal), and hints of candy sugar. Taste is well balanced. It is certainly bitter, but it doesnít completely cancel out the malt giving it a great character. Seems like it has average carbonation and sticks to your tongue for quite a bit. Overall, good. I like it.

650ml brown bottle. Gold colour with a bit of haze, large white head that is creamy and lots of sticky lacing. Light nose, getting some caramel hints, light oranges. Taste - grains, light caramel and orange peels. Faint late bitterness, light fruity notes, some orange zest, some grains in the aftertaste and light hop notes. The 7% never shows up, pretty sessionable for itís strength, overall just feels a bit average, lacks intensity in the hops dept. Was hoping for a bit more...

From bottle to pint at Bearfoot Tavern (Macon, Jawja). This beer is proof that you can?t always go by reviews. It ain?t great but its worth a try once or twice.
