COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
White Hawk is a traditional IPA .The IPA recipe is based on the original 1880 brew that was sent to India for the British troops. The advent of India Pale Ale was born of a need to supply beer in the 1800ís to British troops in India. This hearty, heavily hopped ale was brewed to endure the rigors of the long voyage from Great Britain.

White Hawk Original IPA was launched in California in early 2002 to meet the demand for a unique India Pale Ale. Consumer response for White Hawk IPA exceeded expectations and it is fast gaining a loyal following both in 6 pack and on draft.

Very well balanced. Quite complex in both aroma and flavor. The bitterness and the sweetness interact nicely. Still quite powerful. Well as a late night brew.

Copper colored with a big beige head. Aroma of malt and piney hops. Flavor is malty at the start, with a very long and bitter finish.

Pleasant hoppy aroma. Mouthfeel is oily and somewhat thick. Good hop bitterness that lasts through the finish. Not much malt presence at all.

Clear light orange with a big white head that goes down slowly. Lots of lacing. Attractive aroma. Almost smokey in character with clear hops. Flavor is crisp and floral. Clena and nice.

UPDATED: OCT 26, 2005 Pours light golden with orange hues, mostly receding white head. Aroma of spicy, flowery hops, and caramel. Taste is chewy and malty, with a complex, if somewhat subdued hop character. I usually don’t enjoy American IPAs, because theyíre usually overloaded with Cascades. But this is a delicate hop balance between the Cascades and Fuggles, and for me, it works extremely well.

Pour is a clear orange with a small head. No lacing and hardly any head at all. Mendocino is dead on when they say itís heavily hopped....because it is!! Aroma is all hops and the taste is bitter throughout. Palate is kind of thin, but thatís my only complaint about this good IPA.

Pours a murky copper in color with a thin white head. The aroma actually hit me in the face as I was pouring at armís length, pungent hops over a rich, malty base. The flavor is extremely well-balanced for an IPA, the hops clean and crisp at the beginning with a fresh, malty smoothness in the body. Ends with a lightly bitter finish. Very nice. More drinkable than most IPAs.

Deep amber color with foamy white head. Floral hoppy aroma. Gotta let this one warm up a bit to experience the full hop flavor. Nice bitterness.
