COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
“Jet black in color and full·bodied with a rich, creamy, long-lasting head. Robust, with luscious chocolate and coffee flavors, it is balanced with just the right amount of UK Golding hops. Brewed with massive quantities of oats, our Oatmeal Stout is smooth in the extreme. It pairs well with a wide range of hearty, full-flavored foods and delicious desserts. Our Oatmeal Stout is 6.0% alcohol by volume and 100% marvelous!”

Bottle. Pours an opaque black-coffee color, with a thin beige head that disappeared faster than a 100 dollar bill in the middle of 31st Street. Nose is dark roasted coffee, malt and some toasted pumpernickel. Mouth is medium-bodied, with much of what the nose has, and the oats add smoothness. Nothing to write home about, but certainly drinkable.

Poured a deep black color with a frothy thick tan head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, nuts, toast, caramel, earthy, and bread. Taste is chocolate, coffee, nuts, ginger, and raisin. Has a nice and creamy, thick texture.

12 oz. bottle pours black with a decent tan head and some lacing. Aroma is full of roasted malts, coffee, and some chocolate and vanilla. Taste is slightly sweet with a smoky finish. Body is medium with a lively mouthfeel, due to active carbonation. A very enjoyable stout which exceeded my expectations.

Pours black with tan head. Roasted malt aroma with a hint of chocolate. Roasted malt flavor with a touch of smoke and slightly ashy. Medium body with minimal carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel.

Bottle from Total Wine. Poured a little aggressively and you get a nice foamy tan head. It dissipates a bit but leaves you with a small rim around the glass. Roasty malt aroma with a bit of light grainiess to it. Flavor has a nice chocolatey aspect with a creamy texture. I am pleasantly surprised by this one here although I had low expectations. Finish is a little punchy and leaves a bit of alcohol bite.

Single bottle, Total Wine. Ink black pour, small creamy head. Clumpy lacing. A lot of chocolate, fig, and oatmeal in the aroma. Taste is roasted malt, raisin, dark chocolate. Kind of chalky finish. Medium body and carbonation.

A very enjoyable oatmeal stout. Notes of chocolate milk and strong coffee with creamer. A tiny bit of roasted malt and caramel. I enjoyed it very much.

Poured into my Duck Rabbit pint glass. How much more black could this beer get? The answer is none. None more black. Creamy, thick head which was expected for an oatmeal stout. Has an aroma of caramel and maybe some fruity/earthy notes. Kind of hard for me to pin this one down. Good thicker mouthfeel to this beer. Finishes dry and roasty-toasty. Bits of molasses in the mid taste stick out to me. Overall, a pretty nice oatmeal stout. One I would pick up again. Not too Americanized.

Pours black with a crazy amount of head. That acrid oatmeal stout taste is VERY strong, and surprisingly, I love it.

Bottle. Very dark pour with a light tan head. Good density. Nice aroma and taste of sweet chocolate and lightly roasted coffee. Full palate. Really nice stout.
