COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
“Jet black in color and full·bodied with a rich, creamy, long-lasting head. Robust, with luscious chocolate and coffee flavors, it is balanced with just the right amount of UK Golding hops. Brewed with massive quantities of oats, our Oatmeal Stout is smooth in the extreme. It pairs well with a wide range of hearty, full-flavored foods and delicious desserts. Our Oatmeal Stout is 6.0% alcohol by volume and 100% marvelous!”

Bottle. Metallic lactic aroma. Black brown with a minimal beige head. Astringent slightly sour malt, earthy oat flavor. Light body, soft carbonation.

Bottle. Deep black, thick, tan head. Rich chocolate with some coffee- not sweet. A little strong carbonation is the only downside.

baraciisch (2070) - California, USA - FEB 10, 2013
Deep black with tannish head... Sweet roasted malt aroma... Flavor is rich, roasted malts with more of typical stout roasted mouthfeel than a smooth creamy one of a typical oatmeal stout... Decent ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Brown black with an inch of velvety caramel colored head. Aroma is light chocolate and mole-asses. Taste is the same with very prominent mole-asses notes like a holiday cookie, right down to the burnt notes in the finish. $2/12oz

Holdwine (1096) - Beertimore, Maryland, USA - JAN 22, 2013
Good amount of coffee and dark chocolate on the nose and tongue. Pours nicely. The 6% seems a bit low, or maybe it is not well hidden. Nice mellowness from the oats. Good effort.

Bottle. Pours a very dark brown with a moderate off-white head. Nose is somewhat malty with a little bit of smoke, actually. Taste is much the same. Not the greatest...

Nice deep black with pillowy carmel head. Nice toasty aroma with a hint of coffee and cocoa. Flavor usability but full. Roasted grain, nicely estringent and a long finish. I really like this.

Bricks (657) - Delaware, USA - JAN 5, 2013
Deep black pour with a minimal light brown bubbly head. I smell roasted coffee and maybe some molasses, but it is simple and a tad thin. Tastes exactly the same as it smell, but it definitely is thin. Palate is more carbonated than I like, but has a nice slightly chewy feel...somewhat bitter. It’s decent, nothing more. Way too fizzy.

Bottle. Big roasted malts, toasted oats, dark chocolate, lighter nutty notes, and light coffee. Beautifully rich and flavorful.
