33cl bottle @ home. Aroma: coffee, dark chocolate, roasted malts. These aromas get lost as the beer gets warmer, replaced by some slightly weird aroma not very pleasant i couldn’t identify. Appearance: very deep brown color, almost black and almost totally opaque. Tan thin head with very low retention made of quite big bubbles. Very low lacing, almost non-existent. Taste: medium sweetness, medium bitterness, no sourness. Good flavors of coffee, dark chocolate, roasted and toasted malts. Palate: medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, not too long dry bitter finish of chocolate, coffee and roasted malts. Overall: good aromas and flavors of coffe, dark chocolate, roasted malts. Maybe not the best interpretation of the stout style, but a good beer.

Redelijk zwart maar niet heel viskeus. Ruikt naar de honing, en licht gebrand. Smaakt best lekker maar te fris voor een Imperial stout. Wel lekker gebrande nasmaak

bottle: pours a dark chocolate brown with a quickly disappearing tan head, coffee, chocolate ,and roasty notes to the aroma, medium carbonation, slight bitterness, chocolate, caramel and a slight medicinal off-taste, better effort than the pale ale I tried...........drinkable

Bottle: Thanks Lowenbrau: Served in a Chouffe glass: Rusty copper brown pour. Medium to smaller sized, slowly changing light beige colored foamy head on top of a clear deep dark amber red ish brown colored beer. Aroma reminds me of some bock beers: autumnal herbs, leaves, malts, toast, light vinous, nuts, light hops, light soap, some raisin and light hints of berries drenched in cleaner. Flavours of malts, herbs, light wood tones, some bitters, light floral, dried grass, toast, hint of yeast, some caramel, liquorice wood and some light grapefruit. Aftertaste is light and short: bitter, floral, toast, grapefruit, malts and grass. Low carbo, soft light watery light creamy mouthfeel, medium body and a texture between watery and light creamy. Different approach, nah it’s a complete different beer, but not bad.
