Radek Kliber (3309), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 17, 2005 Neat creamy head, amber brew below. Very light aroma (maybe because their taps were far to cold), just faint hop / malt aroma was detected. Smooth, creamy ale, more organic in feel than previously rated IPA. Vegetable, earthy. Average at best. CapFlu (3292), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Jun 19, 2003 (Draught) Amber colour with a big, white head. Bitter nose with a hint of orange. Mellow. Orange, citrus and creamy taste. Smooth finish - strange for a ESB? Good overall. HogTownHarry (3200), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Dec 31, 2005 Updated: Jan 26, 2006Draught. At Merchant Ale House, shared with jerc and GregClow. Poured hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma said "stale barn" to me - stale hops, weak malt, sourish grain mash. Taste similar, bump the hops up, a bit more sour and vegetal (not if a really bad way). Mouthfeel is thin and astringent - overall quite disappointing, but if fresh (and not so cold) this might have been decent. jerc (3114), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 16, 2005 Slightly hazy copper body, tiny white head. Muted malt and citrusy hops in the aroma. Flavour is hop dominanat - grapefruit, minute lemon - over just supportive enough malt. Grapefruit borders on astringent in the finish. Average palate. Quite pleasant, found this had more citrusy hop flavour but less bitterness than the IPA. Sammy (3072), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jan 9, 2008 hoppy aroma, initial hop bite and flavour, and then notice much carbonationaand water. Citrus. White crown hhead with lace on medium grapefruit colour. Some creaminess in the mouthfeel.
