The head is ok, the body brown-red. It smells wooden, strong, alcoholic, barrel. The taste is wooden, bit hoppy, alcoholic, creamy, good for the stomach.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap @ Haandfest 2013. This monster pours a deep blurry wood brown body with a small islandy and sidesticking just off-white bubbly head. The nose is intense and sweet. Lots of malty and caramel sweetness with only subtle traces of something ripe fruity. Nuts and definitely wood here! The alcohol is also shining pretty much. Yeah, it’s a monster in the taste alright. Really sticky on the texture and it has only hints of any form of carbonation. Tons of bitter nuts here, it’s not as hoppy as I had hoped for. The main part of this taste is in the thick malty sweetness. Did i mention the alcohol? Well, it has lots of it. Warming and somewhat calming. Actually not all that horrible, but not something you can drink to much for. A good gimmick for a festival beer. 25.05.2013

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tap sample @ Haand Festival 2013. Light clear amber body, tiny off-white head. Aroma is melon, red berries, grass, hints of peaches and caramel. Well-hidden alcohol. A bit odd, but OK. Taste is caramel, red berries, grass, toffee, loads of alcohol and hints of burnt sugar and wood. Way too boozy in the taste, but otherwise quite pretty all right.

Draught @ CBC 2013 [ Yellow Session ]. - Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013, Sparta Hallen, Gunnar Nu Hansens Plads 11, 2100 Copenhagen, Denmark

Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, sweet toffee - fudge, alcohol, light to moderate hoppy. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet with a average to long duration, alcohol, yeasty. IMO a bit messy - sorry Menno ! Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
3rd May 2013
CBC. Cloudy amber beer, good cream coloured heaf. Light airy palate, slightly soft and semi dry. Rich malt - toffee and caramel. Alcohol spice. Lovely berry fruits like from a great vintage port. Mild wood and brett tones. Finishes semi dry. Stupidly drinkable. Thought this was a De Molen beer and that is high praise!
