On tap @CBC Pours reddish amber with low head Aromas of red malts, caramel, bready yeast Quite dull taste. Overall well balanced but way too low hoppyness and caramel maltyness for a DIPA

Bottle from De Molen Store, shared with weasel keneivel. Great looking bottle/label. Poured a very murky brownish colour with a shy yet lingering off white head. Nose of cheesy hop, caramel malts, fruits and booze. Very gentle carbonation. Similar themes unfolded in the sweet flavour with notes of spice and yeast. Not quite how I imagined it was going to taste but plenty of quality on offer here. Nice one.

Bottle at home thanks to and shared with wyzzywyz22. Thanks mate! Can’t believe you left my door open all day ha ha! Poured a murky dark brown with a medium pale beige head. Aroma is big and boozy, cheese, malts, cake, yeast, hops. Not hugely IPA like and heavily hopped, quite mild hoppage really. I enjoyed it though for sure..

bottle ( no 265) at home pours very dqrk yellow to brown smell is those typical ’sugary’ hops low carbo . malty with a very heavy backbone . kinda reminds at shark pants, but less extreme bitter . goddamn, i underestimated the goodness of this one ! very nice aromatic hoppyness, bitter backbone but the malts keep being very prominent .. awsome ! best new-to-me-IIPA in a LONG time . glad that i have a bottle for my own

75cl bottle (March 2013). A very bold and strong IIPA. Nice hop aromas. Sweet and citrusy (sic?). Strong grapefruit notes, some strong blue cheese flavors. Very long and bitter finish. Not for the faint of heart!

Bottle acquired via trade with Benzai...thanks Rene! Dark blood orange pour with a small creamy eggshell foam. Loads of sweet candied citrus, tropical fruit, caramel malt, toffee, and mild alcohol. This is more hoppy Barleywine than Double IPA. Fairly simple, straight forward, and aggressive. Glad I had the chance to try it!

Leighton (10674) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 4, 2013
Sampled at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013 - Day 2, Session 1. Pours clearish ruby with a fine, tan cream head. Juicy and sugary ripe citrus aroma with notes of melon and orange. Big sweet flavor, lightly boozy and resinous. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Sticky finish, a bit warming, with ripe melon and various citrus fruits. So so.

Bottle. Pours a hazy copper brown with a small creamy beige head. Aroma is malty, hoppy, caramel ams light boozy. Some yeasty, dusty aroma’s. Flavour is mildly bitter with sweet, light alcoholic and malty, caramel. Very thick mouthfeel, not so long aftertaste. I’m guessing this is probably too old for an IIPA.
