Dark brown color, light brown head. Sweet malty scent. Sweet, smooth, butterscotch taste. Smooth mouthfeel, low bitterness.

Clear deep dark reddish brown color, light brown head. Sweet, malty, dried dark fruits, cream, caramel scent. Sweet, malty, caramel taste. Roasted, sweet aftertaste. Medium to smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness.

draft. dark brown. robust porter-like chocolate malt roast in the nose, lightly chalky, lightly waxy. medium sweet, low bitterness, moderately rough malt with a quick finish. tasty but mostly lifeless and mild and doesn’t capture your attention at all.

Keg at Beer Museum in Prague Day 5 of Fergus and Sarah’s Czech jaunt. 3/10/14. Opaque black, ruby red coloured pour with a lasting cream head. Aroma is sweet and woody, creme caramel, , bark, burnt sugar. Flavour is composed of woody, brown sugars, toffee and caramel. Palate medium light bodied, cremay on the tongue, moderate carbonation.

Clear dark brown to black beer, creamy beige irregular head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: grains, hay, some chloride, cow fodder. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty bitter, ashes, grains, hay, cow fodder, burnt toast, bit nutty. Aftertaste: bitter hops, bit of mocha and coffee, dark caramel, hay.
