COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Original.

Marko (4303) - Split / Zagreb, CROATIA - APR 6, 2011
Bottle at the Mosquito pub in Split. That one, together with its competitor Na Kantunu a couple of meters away carries a pretty good selection for Croatian standards, this one carrying a strong import selection and the other one a strong domestic selection. Sadly, the only 2 places, apart from some random supermarkets where I might get a tick at these days in Split. Anyway, to the beer, sorry for the random rambling. This poured a black body tinged a little with amber along the edges. Sharp malty nose, loaded with raisins, full but strange and didn’t sit that well with me. The taste did though, slightly lean/almost watery, but carrying a pleasant soft, creamy coffeish malty roastiness ending with a single bitter note from the hops, that lingers awhile. Nicer than I imagined it would be!

Bottle. Black with a small head. Malty and a well balanced medium body. Impressive and as good as many German beers of this style.

Can from Systembolaget. Dark malty smell, bread and some chocolate. Similar taste, sweet with a metallic note to it. Roasted finish. Would have been allot better without the metal, no I’m not drinking from the can.

AshtonMcCobb (3936) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAY 5, 2012
33cl bottle. Pours opaque black with a generous head - looks like a stout in fact. Nose of toffee and a hint of cream. The taste has loads of toffee, perhaps rolling into praline or Crunchie Bar. The palate is medium to rich in taste and texture with a long but elegant tangy finish. Overall, good beer, not what i expected in terms of style.
