Very dark brown, almost black. Darker brown foma head, but dissapearing within seconds. Weaker malty aroma with some nuts flavor. Taste is watery, not too much flavor. Pitty. Similar aftertaste is almost not present. (Velp 201210)

On tap at the newly opened World Beer Museum in Osaka. 650 yen for 300ml served in a stemmed glass with the breweries logo on it. It poured a lovely inky black with a tan head, was served too cold though. The aroma was pretty weak at first but as it warmed up you started to get more coffee notes over the sweet malty base. The flavor started off coffee, then chocolate malt with a burnt bitter chocolate finish. Quite nice to drink and one of the cheapest things on tap so pretty decent.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
0.33 l bottle from a local bar, where I had already found few new Czech beers before. It poured dark brown body with bigger brownish head. Nice caramel and black bread aroma, had also little bit of dried fruits. Typical, weaker flavor, but had fine coffee malt, which reveals more things as it gets warmer. Especially pronounced are raisins, quite sweet generally, with some mixed grainy and coffee dryness. Thinner in body with longer coffee and sugary finish. Fine, maybe a bit too sweet for the style, but it’s a fine beer anyhow.

Flaska frĺn SB. Fasta sortimentet dec-13.
