Commercial Description:
A delightful accident created this beer - it froze during fermentation! We have recreated the original recipe, which is further blessed with the world's finest berwing water from Southwestern Colorado's Lizard Head Watershed. This doppelbock is smooth, mellow, and quite wicked! Keep cool and enjoy it in moderation.

In the bottle from Logan’s Pre-GABF party. Pours reddish brown with a medium tan head. Lots of caramel. Slightly acidic aroma. Flavors match the caramel aroma with additional nuttiness. Medium palate. Almost like a light sherry. A good beer.

on tap-pours a light tan head and amber/red color. Aroma is Brandon’s signature finishing hops, Halletaur. Taste is signature finishing hops, secondary sweet medium malt, alcohol. OK Carbonation. Occasional.

Draft 6 oz’er at the brewpub, 9/18/06: Very dark red, like cough syrup. Big alcohol nose. Almost a cherry flavor develops from the alcohol in this one. Delish.

Bomber poured a clear dark reddish brown with a small diminishing offwhite head. Aromas of roasted malt, mild dark fruit and some mustiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of roasted malt, chocolate, dark fruit and a hint of smoke with a smooth lingering bittersweet finish.
