Cask at GBBF. Clear dark brown beer. Palate is a little soft. Very appley but in semi sweet way, not tart. Just a bit too appley, suspect this is not right and too young.

This was the third beer tasted. The service at Messrs Maguire was helpful and encouraged me to tour the brewery operation. The bock poured a clear amber with small head and lacing down the glass. This is an easy to drink beer that had a deceptive higher alcohol content. The beer did taste sweeter with some caramel flavors. Well balanced with a smooth finish but thin.

Draught at the brewpub. Clear orange coloured with a small white head. Sweet aroma of caramel, bread, liquorice and hops. Sweet flavour of fruits, caramel, hops and grass with notes of bread. Hoppy finish.

Draft @ Messrs, Dublin. cuivre, col ocre. Malté et grillé laisse en bouche une fine amertume avec note de fruits noirs et sucré, corps est moyen. Fini garde cette amertume houblonnée de lager et malt pale. Pas mauvais.

Dark amber. Earthy with darker caramel notes. Bland, soft with light caramel. Pretty bland all round for a bock, especially having just come from Bavaria.

Beershine (4766) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - MAR 8, 2011
Draft @ brewpub. Lovely ruby red, thick stable nitro head. Very fruity aroma. Cherries. Soft palate. A bit syrupy. Cherry, marachino, is its defining feature. Juicy bock.

Cask (gravity dispense) at the Great British Beer Festival, August 2009. Dark brown in colour. Very little condition. Fruity and fairly dry for a bock. Malt seemed a bit underdeveloped and flabby. Drinkable but not particuarly impressive, in this cask at least. Flagged for re-rate.
