Draught at the brewpub in Dublin. Almost black body, thick brown head. Really malty, excellent bitter finish. Not so strong aroma though. Really silky palate.

Nose is some hazel, round sweet caramel, rotten, sour fruit, mediumbitter hops, weak iron, feel is watery, carb is mediumlow, taste is cranberry, some wood, earth, little sour and bitterfresh hops finish

Draft @ Messrs, Dublin. Brune, col crémeux ocre. Arôme de caramel malt, fruit noir avec un aspect pomme caramélisée. Le goût est malté avec note de mélasse, fine touche de chocolat, poudre de cacao, chocolat noir / au lait. Qcq fruits noirs; prunes avec cet aspect pomme caramel le tout avec un une amertume qui reste en retrait. Une favorite de ce brewpub.

On tap at Porterhouse Covent Garden. Very dark brown colour near black with thin beige head. Its an ok malty briwn ale. Pretty much to modern brown ale stylrles so you have to like malty grainy brown malts to enjoy this. Touch if spice on the finish. Its fine if dullish. Its drinkable and slightly likeable especially the finish.

Draught. Dark brown to black with a thin off white head. Aroma is roasted malts. Lots of roasted malt in the flavour with some grape. Texture is thin.

Enjoyed at Messrs Maguire in Dublin whilst chatting with the brewer. App: Dark brown, dirty yellow head. Aroma: malty, quite toasty,  a little vanilla too. Flavour: toasty, quite a good dose of malt, vanilla, toast, caramel too. Long dry finish. Quite tasty.
