Thhis was the second ale tasted at the brewpub on the Liffy. I was able to get a tour of the brewery. It is a very compact brewery with limited space. They do a great job. This ale was a reddish brown in color with a creamy head. The cabonation was soft for this medium body beer. The ale could take more hops, but otherwise a very balanced ale. Smooth finish with no aftertaste.

Clear orange-red coloured with a creamy off-white head.
Fruity aaroma of caramel, liquorice, tobacc, hops and ashtray.
Fruity flavour of caramel, liquorice powder and hops.

Draught at the brewpub in Dublin. Red body, thick off-white head. Almost no aroma, meek taste, almost on finish. Of course, this is compares to the other excellent beers at the brewpub...

Strong sweet caramel aroma. Perfectly clear with a nice amount of head. Good caramel flavors as well but the hop bitterness is little stronger than it should be for an Irish red covering any malt flavors at the end.

Nose is roasted malt, mahogany, little coffee, earth, feel is broad and velvet, carb is low, taste is bittersweet hops, mahogany, some rye, round malt notes

Draft @ Messrs, Dublin.
Couleur cuivre, col crémeux blanche.
Arôme malt cara, fine note de citron, légèrement grillée.
En bouche, une bière maltée et légère avec note de caramel et citron gardant une fine touche saline/minérale. Bière est légère allant vers la limonade. Fini à qcq touches de houblons et d’épices venant peut-être de la levure.

Nice red tint to a copper body. Light malty nose with some alcohol and toffee. Medium-bodied; Strong malt flavour with a good creamy finish. A bit of hops at the end, tucked in with golden syrup too. Overall, a nice beer and my first non stout in the whole of Ireland. I sampled this pint on draught at the MessRS Maguire Bewpub in Central Dublin on 19-February-2009.

Orangey-amber colour. Caramelly, earthy sweet aroma with light mushroomy notes. Herbal, fruity, with light caramel and even a hint of acidity.

Draft @ brewpub. Rich amber hue, nice color, head is slight. Aroma is tainted by glue and paint thinner. Is oily and buttery throughout. Is undrinkable, so something must have gone wrong.

Draught. Red with a nice lasting white head. Aroma is sweet with some fruit. Smooth mouth feel, with some malt and a hint of nuts in the finish.
