3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap @ Posthoorn, Maastricht. Brown colour, white foam. Balsamic vinegar, berries, brown sugar. Nice taste but without sugar this would be very nice! Too sweet.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Remarkable blend of Gulpener Oud Bruin with a wood-aged beer undergoing a controlled lactic infection and sweetened. Made for De Zwarte Ruiter and in existence for many years already. The result is very much like a Flemish oud bruin, with yellowish foam and a dark burgundy colour. Aroma of nuts, chocolate, overripe fruits, Worcestershire sauce, sour cream, sherry; fruity and malty taste ’cleansed’ by a soft lactic acidity, some woodiness, dryish sourish finish. A classic, predating many attempts at oud bruin made by younger breweries.

Draught @ Beer Temple. Dark red - brown color, average sized off-white to beige head. Smell and taste lightly malts, quite sweet indeed, raisins, dried fruits. Average body and carbonation. Hmm it’s ok.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap @ Beer Temple - sample share with bierkoning, benzai, theJvd, andrejes & joes (Brett fest 2014). Long, long time since I last had this. Clear dark brown-red color. Dense off white head with good retention and lacing. Aroma’s: sweet & sour, light fruit (cherries?), dark sugar. Some wood retronasal. Flavor is moderate to full sweet & moderate sour. Light bodied, but certainly not thin. Finishes with a light bitterness. Lovely.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap at de poshoorn. Came in an awesome ceramic stein that I will hopefully upload a picture of. Giant off white head. Sweet nose with peach and berry notes. Just a touch of sour in this. Real smooth and a great after meal beer. Tartness comes out mire in the finish. Flavors of black and blueberry throughout.

From tap. The aroma was like a real rodenbach with sweet and sour cheries. But the taste... It’s like They have add a ton of sugar. Bad bad bad

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured medium reddish brown with a frothy off white head. Aroma of sour berries and caramel malt. Light body, flavour is pleasantly sour over dark fruit, but could do with being a lot stronger.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap. Pours reddish brown with a lacy, cream-colored head. Aroma of sweet tarts, some spice, light fruit, and floral hops. Flavor about the same, but really sweet and fruity. Smooth texture. A decent beer but not great.
