3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 egajdzis (4587) - Spring Mount, USA - FEB 1, 2008
Poured a murky, red brown color with a small, light tan head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of cherries, light vinegar, some caramel, and nuts. Taste was tart up front, light cherry, wood, and saccharine. Tart finish, nice.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 jkwood04 (1414) - Connecticut, USA - SEP 24, 2011
On tap. Pours reddish brown with a lacy, cream-colored head. Aroma of sweet tarts, some spice, light fruit, and floral hops. Flavor about the same, but really sweet and fruity. Smooth texture. A decent beer but not great.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Koelschtrinker (7060) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUN 11, 2011
Danke an den Doppelbock für dieses Bier! Saurer Geruch, dunkel, etwas malzig.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 pantanap (2838) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 4, 2010
on draft at in de wildeman, amsterdan, netherlands. thanks to rob who pointed this one out to me as a sour lover.... pours a semi-transparent darker amber brown with a medium fluffy off-white head... aroma is soft semi-sweet cherries with a mild vinegar feel to it. very light and subdued earthy sour tinged and very much the opposite of aggressive....flavors are of a soft earthy sour vinegar and milder sweet cherry aspects. some wet malts underneath. light and has a high drinkability quotient but it lacks some oomph for lack of a better word.

Reddish brown colour with little cream white head. The nose is sweet, a bit sour and reminds of an somewhat aged red wine. Taste is quite sour, sweet with fermented fruit and some caramel. Bit thin, sweet and low on alcohol, but definitely one of the best in the Dutch Oud Bruin department.
