1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
Faint sour malt aroma. Cloudy golden color with sparse head. Tastes like water, at its best like extrermely weak ginger ale. Palate- again nothing. I will say that n a country liek Ethiopia, it is probably very thirst quenching...

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle. Orange light hazy. Murky malts on nose, some tart orange, papery cardboard. Light med body. Feels rather belgy really. Ripe fruits, oranges, but all in a stuffy cardboardy manner.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
33cl bottle pours with a clear gold body that supports an off white head. The aroma swells with sweet pear and apple candy blended with an odd somehow earthy undefinable “stuff” sort of sensation. Hmm. The taste is similar with a mild meat like odd earthiness blended into sweet apple and pear sweet fruitiness creating a flavor that isn’t all that inviting. It then becomes more cereal like to midway and into the finish and tries in vein to turn this thing around with more “beer” notes but in the end the cereal notes fail to do so.

Dammit ibrew2or 3! This is some wonderfully awful beer. Just stank and sweet and gross. Not even a new country tick. Dammmmmmit.

Golden colored beer with a lasting white head. Paper aroma, maybe metallic. Malty and sweety, not very balanced.

1 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
This one is pretty rough, even on Ethiopian standards. A little too much of that sour mash malt finish on this. The St. George’s was a much better choice next to this. Bottle at Zenebech’s with some excellent food that somehow made it alright.

Keg at The Obelisk, Addis Ababa airport. Clear golden body with a thin white film. Steady carbonation. No lacing. Aroma of grain, newspaper and a hint of lemon. Flavour of sour grain. Thin body with a watery texture. Soft fizz. Bordering on undrinkable.

Just like the other beer from the brewery but maltier and sweeter. But really bad altogether.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
A nice floral aroma from a clear amber pour with no head or lacing. The flavor is sweet- malts, floral notes. Medium-light body and medium carbonation. Overall, a very enjoyable beer that went well with Ethiopian food.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Beer starts mild, quite sweet. The mainpart is very smooth, a bit watrey. Slightly malty and a bit grainy. An interesting herbal-like taste comes towards the ending, the bittering hops fit in well. The aftertaste is medium, malty-sweetish and lightly bitter, smooth and watery. Nut not bad – there is a nice, hard to describe malty-herbal tone.
→ Nice brew! Not bad, highly drinkable and interesting. → 12/12/9/11
