Tasting @ Home with J&C, October 2011. Golden color ,tiny white head. Sweet malty aroma and flavour, grainy, some hops. Typical premium lager bit not offensive. Comapred to the Rolling rock extra pale we had right before this, it tasted like Westvleteren.

Wow, an Ethiopian lager, didn’t expect to find this one this year. Bottle best by May ’12. Nose is sweet and floral with a creamy, corny candy element that’s really not bad. Golden body with a sudsy white head. Taste is near-cloyingly sweet and overwhelmingly artificial, there are prickling bits of chalk and dirt in with the candy sludge and low-burn alcohol. Medium-light, unclean body with an unclean aftertaste. Was going to label this a step in the right direction, as it were, but man, I couldn’t even come close to finishing it, nasty.

Clear golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and corn. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Sweet finish. 161211

Clear medium orange yellow colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain - hay, toasted, sour malt, light hoppy. Flavour is moderate sweet, light light acidic and light bitter with a average duration, sour malt, sweet malt, medium dry, chalk - cardboard notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20111008]

33 cl bottle, thanks to travlr. Aroma is toasted and sweet malty, flavour is the same with a solid sweetness and caramelish and fruity finish.
