Can at home in London - picked up at Borough Wines in Hackney. Pours mostly clear orange-gold with a creamy, white head. Grainy malts in the nose, a little apple, ripening citrus. Light sweet flavour with further pale grains, white bread, fine grassy bitterness. Light bodied with massaging carbonation. Finishes with more grassy bitterness, simple pale bread, lightly husky grains, light apple, orange peel. A little too bitter in the aftertaste. So so overall.

Cask at Hilden Fest 2012 - 25/08/12. Slightly hazed copper orange in colour - not a pale ale in my book! Sweet malt nose leaning towards caramel. Tastes a little of ripe tangy fruit with a bitter sweet finish, medium body with a commensurate level of carbonation.

Cask conditioned at The Anchor, Birmingham. Gold with white head. This is a sharp, dry, heavily hopped beer. There is a good crisp biscuity body, light with a baked bread note. This carries a spicy, peppery hop flavour, quite intense and bitter. Really very good.

Can sample at a tasting at troubles’s place. Thanks Tom L. Golden with a white head. Awful aroma of butter and creamed corn. Sweetish flavor with diacetyl, corn, and a drier unpleasant bitterish finish. Diacetyl mouthfeel. Awful.
