Bottle @ Hoppy Advent Race in Space, Sønderborg. Pours clear golden with airy white head. Clear aroma of yeast, with notes of hops and some malty touches. Sweetish, malty flavour, with estery notes and hoppy touches. Mild, malty afteraste. Well, drinkable but nothing very exciting. Rather sweet for the style.

Dark brown beer with a fairly frothy head and a lightly hopped aroma with a malty edge. The flavour is weak to start off with but finishes with a strong alcoholic flavour with malty undertones. Overall a reasonable Christmas biere de garde.

Very heady aroma has some spices and oranges. Brown with thin head. Dark malt flavour with some oranges, spices, lots of alcohol. There is an aftertaste that is almost like iodine. Low carbonation. Different isn’t always a good thing. Entered from notes from Summer of 2002.
