Received a four pack and tulip glass under my tree this year, picked up at the Christmas market in Metz. Deep copper hue, faint head. Spicy smell, with just the right amount of carbonation. A nice take on the Belgian style wih some added spiceness for Christmas. Different from the German Christmas beers I have been drinking...a nice change of pace.

An amber xmas beer lager type with low white head. Aroma is light hoppy, malty. Light bitter sweet taste. Easy to drink.

Pours a copper-orange. Nice aroma of gingerbread. Sweetness carries through to the taste, with some brown sugar and caramel notes. Seems a little under-carbonated. Good, but pretty simple ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Deep, dark golden beer with a prototypical lager head. Drinks with a rich, clean, malty goodness. There’s a hint of some viscous alcohol, but not that much. Thicker and "gooder" than your standard lagers, but built on that baseline. (#5359, 12/11/2013)

Dark gold, a bit yeasty. Lots of Christmas spiciness. Cinnamon, almonds, over a fine body. A little citrus, too. Nice.

Bottle at home ... Thanks to Stephen (gowdy)(well probably his wife) for this ... copper ... sweet ... quite a bitt of spice ... little caramel malt ... little bit of lemon fruitness.

pours a clear amber colour under a firm pale beige head, nice lace, dusty nose with subtle notes of undefined spices and oranges, sweet and with a rather low carbonation, medium-bodied, some bitterness introduces a smooth and moderately dry spicy finish where more notes of oranges shows up - a surprisingly good beer from Meteor

Warning! Early amateur rating! Brown beer. Moderate carbonation. Sweetish and mildy malty. Better when cold or very cold. Slightly fruity.

Dark brown beer with a fairly frothy head and a lightly hopped aroma with a malty edge. The flavour is weak to start off with but finishes with a strong alcoholic flavour with malty undertones. Overall a reasonable Christmas biere de garde.
