Malty, light fruity aroma with spice notes. Nice creamy, big head, nutbrown color. Flavor is malty, with some roasted malt componentes, medium intensive orange flavor, some spice notes (cloves, punch?). Light dry finish. Quite nice christmas beer.

250ml bottle from Monoprix, Marseille. A mildly syrupy lager. Not much happening - some honey notes. Drinkable and acceptable, but not otherwise note worthy.

650ml bottle. Clear copper with yellowish off-white head. Grainy aroma, hay and straw, minimal alcohol note. Taste is sweet caramel, fizzy grainy and slightly alcoholic finish. Nothing special.

Pours a dark amber-gold color with a medium somewhat fizzy white head that evaporates steadily to a film. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel, musty malt and fruit. Light body with a sweet syrupy mouthfeel and flavors of caramel malt, citrus and a hint of hops. The finish is short and malty. Guess I shouldn’t approach a beer with certain style expectations due to a holiday label but this beer is pretty forgettable regardless of the season.

On tap at the Draft House, Tower Bridge on 8 February 2011 (as Meteor Biere d’Hiver). Orange in colour. Sweetish and quite fruity. Not much hop character in evidence. That’s about it really. Difficult to place style-wise - at least it’s not listed as a Biere De Garde. Overall, pleasant enough but not hugely interesting.

Warning! Early amateur rating! Brown beer. Moderate carbonation. Sweetish and mildy malty. Better when cold or very cold. Slightly fruity.

250ml bottle, poured into small 1664 glass. Amber colour, clear, small head. Can smell a bit of yeast and caramel. Tastes sweet, bit of lime cordial in there. Enough carbonation. Nothing special but ok, would not want too many as there are chemicals in it.

Shared bottle at Cardinal. Clear golden with a white head. Caramel and Belgian ale yeast spicy notes in the aroma. Sweet flavors. Light bodied. Bland.

Bottle looks very good, really christmas-like. Beer in the glass copper-coloured, small head. Starts strong and spicy, like a good festbier. But the finish is more and more metallically and dry, not as spicy as the beginning. Not my favourite.

Bottle. Kind gift from my lovely wife. Good effort love, not your fault it was a poor attempt at a Christmas beer. In fact, it just isn’t. No spice, no real flavour or alcohol presence. It’s a fizzy gold with a white head. Sweet and malty, some honey. Best thing I can say about this is my mrs knew it was a rate so bought it for me. Good work KP.
