2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
A 33cl bottle at a Cote Brasserie in London, the ABV was given as 4.6% though. A pretty inocuous lager, nothing wrong with it but little to praise either. Very standard - the food was good though.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Cold bottle in Cote restaurant, sold as ’Meteor 1640 Blonde’. Nothing too exciting to report - a substandard lager. Finish is watery & ash. There are much better lagers available.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Sampled from an 8.45 oz green bottle this beer poured a bright golden color with a large creamy yellow-white head that left decent lacing. The aroma was tangy grass, perfume and a bit of lemon. The flavor was tangy and a touch bready with faint grass and perfume. Medium length finish and medium body. Bland and inoffensive.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Enjoyed while eating the best pork dish I’ve ever had at Saint Sepulcte restaurant in Strasbourg, FR. The meal was awesome, the beer not so much. Large white head, pale, not much aroma, didn’t taste especially good, but pared well with the meal.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pour from a minikeg at Rapebeer’s house- thanks again, Nico! Pours a pretty clear gold color with a small but frothy white head. Notes of pale and bready malts, wet grass, hay, and some mixed fruits. Light-bodied, with medium carbonation and a crisp, malty mouthfeel. Not a bad pale lager.

2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
UPDATED: DEC 29, 2013 Bottle from Blue Max. Clear golden pour, small white head. Kind of a skunked lager nose. Taste is slightly better - better than BMC.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Aroma is typical of a lager, crisp and malty and a little fruity. It pours a nice clear amber with a fairly thick and fluffy ivory head. Crisp, malty flavor is quite refreshing with a firm fruity note. Smooth texture has average thickness - actually seems a wee bit thicker than most pale lagers - and a decent fizz, though it doesn’t persist. Average all around, but shows that the French can make beer.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
250ml bottle - Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Appearance: Pours a darkish, gently hazed, pale golden body with a very thin, very tenuous head.
Smell: Has a smell of adjunct laden pale malts, but, then you get a big pop of apple cider.
Taste: Scant malts, grains and straw, with a big dose of sweet syrup. Near nil hop character, bitterness. Still, it remains a bit hinting of a cider (a dreadful cider, mind you). Sweetish, unclean finish.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Overall: It’s not good. Your hopes and expectations will fall faster than a meteor.
