Poured a golden amber with a large white fluffy head that left nice lacing. Aroma of diactyl, whisky, and skunk. Sweet malty taste with some diactyl, and a good alcohol tinge to the mouth. Watery mouthfeel, forgettable.

AMber color wih a taller light tan head. Hint of malt and mint in the aroma. Heavy feel and sweet, near cloying, malt. Not much as far as smokiness. Not much more than a heavy amber ale. Aftertaste as it warms has soem barnyard flavors that are not real friendly.

Twist-off metal cap like a 40 of Mickey's, with label art that really made me do a triple take to make sure that it was indeed beer and not some form of liquor. Faint aroma, malty and a bit sweet, with some tea leaves, tobacco, caramel, herbal hop and a lil' hint of the shiskey. Medium-dark amber color, clear, with a fine, lasting, creamy head and delicate lacing. Flavor is also malty and sweetish, some light honey and caramel, a small amount of leafy, very faintly spicy hop flavors and vague hints of the earthy peat. Smooth, creamy consistency, medium-full bodied. No apparent smokiness or alcohol, although the strength is obviously not exaggerated because it's having an effect already. I bought this expecting it to actually be a biere de garde. Not all bad, just simple.

Bright copper color. Slightly smokey nose with a light maltiness. Body is sweet and thick with malt. Alcohol is evident, a slight bitterness towards the finish. A bit sweet, bu otherwise ok.

Clear brown w/ small beige head. Malt whiskey & alcohol in the nose w/ some peat. Medium-thin body. Warm whiskeyish flavour but ultimately uninteresting.

Has a high alcohol aroma, amber, vanilla custard head. Whiskey flavours, didn't notice a smoke taste though, not very smooth, average.
