« Meteor pils is a superior qualitu beer and the result of a unique know-how. Made in 1927 by Louis Haag and his son Frédéric, its authentic, exclusive recipe is a skilful combination of nole ingredients, particularly hops from the Czech Republic (Saaz) and Alsace (Strisselspalt). Its pale yellow colour is crowded by an abundant, airy head that holds out the promis of great finesse. Particularly light and sparking, it gradually asserts its smooth bitterness before opening up it rich, floral aromas and offering an intense freshness.

Bottle (Merci, Quack-Duck !): Clear, pale golden, big and firm white lacy head; sweetish-grainy nose, a bit cardboardy, a bit malty, with a grassy-hoppy, almost aromatic and noble background, moderate bitter-sweet flavour, quite light bodied; drier aromatic-hoppy finish with some grainy undertones. Refreshing, not bad.............

12 oz. bottle, from beers of the world pack. Pours clear light amber with a large, foamy white head that diminishes amlost instantly to a thin skin. Grain malts in the aroma, spring scented soap, citrus notes and floral hops. Toasy, adjuncty malts, grassy, bitter, weedy hoppiness. Light body and itchy carbonation. Meh!

UPDATED: NOV 5, 2009 Smells and looks typical of a decent Pilsner. However the taste is where it differs. I just have no comparison. Its not good though.

33cl bottle. Poured a medium and hazy golden color with a smaller sized white head. Aromas of corn and grainy. Tastes of the same. Somewhat buttery as well. Thin body.

Big foamy head that leaves decent lacing. Aroma is skunky, chemicals with some light hints at bad hops. Initial flavor is actually pretty malty with some salt.sour notes and a trace of bitterness. The malt flavors dominate the finish. Despite the aroma, it’s not entirely terrible. I wouldn’t buy it again, but I’m not gagging.

I’ll say this is what I’m drinking because the picture to the left is the most similar to my 11.2oz bottle. Can’t really ever trust a beer in a green bottle. Skunky aroma from the start, w/ corny malt notes. Watery w/ a very light peppery taste, little bit of a yeasty mouthfeel. I hope this was an old bottle. DON’T INVEST IF DUSTY.
