COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle. Thin foamy white head. Slightly cloudy golden color. Citrus, corriander, and spice in the aroma. Thick texture, both bready and yeasty, not much in depth, some apricot and wheat, slightly sweet all around. Bitter and bubbly finish. Not terrible but not a repeat for me.

25cl bottle: part of a six pack bought at a French supermarket in Calais. Poured into a Chimay chalice on 23 Feb 14. Looks lager/pilsner like: clear, deep golden hue to the clean body, the head a thin wisp from the start and just a collar after 10 seconds. The aroma is semi-sweet grainy: the taste very similar with just about enough flavour to hide the alcohol. It lacks depth and character but it isn’t a bad beer, just a little one dimensional and not really my thing even though I prefer malty and sweet beers. Scored objectively.

33 cl bottle. Aroma: vanilla, brown sugar, sweetish. Appearance: dark yellow, white head that dissipates. Taste: sweet. Palate: relatively smooth, sweet aftertaste. Overall: alright - too sweet for me though.

Couleur orange trouble, belle mousse. Gout de fruits legerement caramel et assez doux. Pas de fin de bouche. Biere de garde simple mais pas trop mal.

Sweet malt and some floral accents make this a nice effort from Meteor. Dark orange amber with tiny skin of a head. Malt and fruit (apples and oranges)notes are up front in the aroma and taste. smooth and mellow, simple but complex.

Bottle pours a golden color with a finger of head. Aroma is malt, yeast, and a little spice. Taste is malty and spicy, pretty good taste. I would rate it higher but it lacks a kick that I look for in strong ale’s.

Bottle, DØE Øllets dag @ Bdr. Schmidt, Viby Centeret. Pours golden with a offwhite head. Aroma of malt, yeast, wood, light hops. Flavor is malt, honey, yeast, wood, little hops, light booze. Medium body, lively carbonation. 070913

Pours a clear amber color with a light tan head. Smell is light caramel malt, fruit. Taste is sweet up front with the previously mentioned flavors ending sweet and a little dry. Medium body with course and active carbonation. Not a particularly good beer.

Beer of the month selection. Pour this into the disposal. Carbonated black licorice. Nasty stuff. I did not like this. Nauseating. Strong sweet upfront and then black licorice. Gross. Nasty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Not sure why this beer seems to be so unpopular with other reviewers. Pours a beautiful, incredibly clear orange color with a finger of foam that is retained for a while. Pleasant aroma of burnt sugar and honey. Doesn't taste as good a or looks or smells, but still good. A little syrupy, with caramel, spice and a hint of alcohol on the finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Scipio (653) - Palatine, Illinois, USA - AUG 12, 2013
Pours a mostly clear, darker golden with a minimal off white head. The aroma is kind of sweet and contains mainly yeast and caramel, along with softer impressions of apple and orange. The taste is pretty boring. I only find bread and caramel with a very faint tart. There is minimal aftertaste. Medium in body with with a thick texture. The mouthful feels flat. I wouldn’t recommend this.
