mjg74 (1763), La Mesa, California, USA Jul 15, 2008 Bottle from Albertson’s. Light amber in color. Light hop aroma. A little bit of sweetness as well. Decent citric hoppiness. A little spicy. Drinkable example but nothing special.
guzzler67 (1134), Hanover, Maryland, USA Aug 20, 2008 Bright amber appearance with a small white head and modest lacing. Initial whiff was sweet caramel, but then lost focus. Bitter, citrusy hop taste with little malt backbone. Light-to-medium bodied, well carbonated mouthfeel with a short lived finish. (one idiosyncratic point added to the overall for having a trout on the label) jcdsmack (30), Henderson, Nevada, USA Jul 30, 2008 Light golden pour some orange highlights grassy hop aroma thin head no retention not much going on here thin on the palate one dimensional hop flavor and aroma no real malt variation or charactor to speak of poor effort, I agree with AKScott AVOID AndrewKScott (319), Lemont, Illinois, USA Jul 21, 2008 Found this at Jewel. There’s something wrong here. Chemical, stale aroma. Taste is very thin, with a strong bitterness that is more chemical than hoppy. Seems like instead of actual hops they used some sort of extract, and it didn’t turn out well. It looks intriguing, but AVOID. robforbes (694), Bremerton, Washington, USA Apr 16, 2008 pours a clear amber-orange with a small beige head, good lacing.
smell of light grapefruit, some malt, touch of citrus.
taste is sooth, grapefruit hops, citrus, some orange peel, some malt, ends bitter with a thick mouth-feel.
