Sample via Cornfield...moderate caramel/toffee malts, light earthy hop note, touch of citrus and pine, but just hints really. This beer is drinkable and forgettable.

Maybe the worst IPA I have tried. Skunky and weak flavor; and not Hoppy. How could an IPA not be hoppy. I love IPAs, but shouldn’t have ventured too far from Dogfish Head or the other’s that I have been enjoying

Pours very light, with a thin head. Head dissipates after a couple minutes. The taste is a bit alcohol-like. Mouthfeel is a bit dry and light. Overall a decent beer for the price. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

26 may 2012, bottle. Yellow, clear, occasional bubbles. Nose is cane sugar malt and slightly grassy malt. Med body and mildly fizzy. Mild grassy hops, some faint sugary malt malt. Faint grapefruit bitter finish. Meh. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz. bottle from Bert’s Better Beers. Good looking brew. Thick lacing in a somewhat transparent gold color. The nose is very lightly hopped. Mostly pale malts. Some easy malt and bread like qualities. Almost no hops in the finish. Feels very much like an APA rather than a true IPA. No way to tell the age, but I know Bert doesn’t sell old beer so…. This is a very low end IPA. Not bad, just nothing to get excited about.

Bottle at home, out of my Maudite glass, thanks to Duffman for the trade! Pours clar golden bronze, with a 1-finger thick cream-coloured head, solid lacing. Nose is... offputting. Pencil shavings, vague citrus, hot metal, some grain/chaff notes here, also spent grains, almost tannic... lots of sawdust in the aroma too. Like sawdust and hot metal filings... Flavours of round clean grain, some vegetal hops, really not much going on. Almost disappointingly good after how genuinely wretched the nose was. Dreadful stuff. Avoid at all costs.

From a bottle. I think Duffman gave me this beer from a six pack. Didn’t care for it. Not bad, but by no means good... tons of better IPAs.

12 oz twist off brown bottle. No apparent date. I found it at the local grocery store. It pours a golden copper color with a foamy but frothy white head. It sticks for awhile before receding with some nice lacing. I am struggling to get a smell out of this, perhaps a bit of honey and grassy hops. There is the slightest bit of tropical fruit. This smells like a watered down APA. The taste is very buttery. The hops show up a bit more in the daste but I can’t get over how much diacetyl and buttered corn/buttered biscuit flavor I’m getting form this. The hops are blunt, mainly just a slight bitterness. There is a strong mineral water flavor as well. This is mostly watery, buttery malt. The mouthfeel is watery and the alcohol doesn’t even seem to be completely hidden. This is a butchery of an IPA, it is gross. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 09-02-2010 00:10:11

DuffMan (4434) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - FEB 22, 2011
Bottle. Light orange amber, aroma of citrus and caramel. Light palate, to the point of being watery, detracts from the citrus rind hop character. Very thin malt character. There are so many better IPAs out there, but the saving feature for this brew is the $6 price tag for a six-pack.

Had this one bottled thanks to Arnie. Slightly hazy, dark yellow pour, lacy white head. Grassy nose, apricots. Flavor is dominated by citrusy hops, fades into a nice grapefruit and nutty malt. Sharp, dry finish. Excellent.
