La Metropole Blonde Golden orange pour with a thin head. Sour hoppy smell. Sour mouth as well but very understated. A bit yeasty. Low carbonation. Really well balanced.

Pours a hazy golden colour with a white head. Aroma is malt, spices, fruit and hop. Taste is sweetish leading to a light spicy finish. Nice.

Golden colour. The aroma has slight liquorice. Lightly fruity, flowery, soft. Decent but needs more dryness.

Draught at the brewpub. Pale golden, no head. Aroma of blueberry and vanilla. Sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Mildly grassy with more blueberries in a finish with low bitterness. Fairly elegant.

Pale golden straw pour. The aroma has just a very light soft spiciness. Not overblown like in many Belgian blondes. The malt is quite expressive with some fairly light crackery character. There is a nice light sweetness and just a kiss of noble bitterness underlying the beer. Fresh tasting with some excellent balance. After drinking nothingnbut crappy lagers (an exaggeration, but still). A touch of nice melon estery flavour and some lingering light sweetness.

Draft @ brewpub. rich coppery gold color, nice, with small head. Nice floral-fruit aroma, with pleasant malt sugars, fruity hop character as in unripe pear. Soft palate. Flavors are uninspired. Some earthiness is reminiscent of English yeast. Interesting artichoke flavors here that grow on me. Thin but intriguing, balanced with a nice spicy character. It seems strong but it’s actually got session potential.
