COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
If malt and hops are the two poles of brewing, this beer is the gently spinning sweet spot between them. First, you’ll notice the spicy aromas of Perle and Hallertau hops. Then - wipe the foam off the tip of your nose - dive into the toasty flavors of Vienna and Munich malts. Dynamo starts strong and finishes crisp and smooth. The balanced flavors, aromas, and even the coppery-red tones of this beer go great with everything. Fear no pairing. The best time to enjoy Dynamo is when you’re thirsty. Dynamo Copper Lager goes great with pizza, neighborhood block parties, spring rolls, first dates, football games, whiskey, tapas, the Sunday newspaper, late-night burritos, veggie omelets, business lunches, grilled mushrooms, pretzels, political debate, corn-on-the-cob, classic sci-fi flicks, mixed greens, campfires, salmon, billiards, cherry pie, rock shows, pumpernickel, salsa, grand openings, peanuts, sewing bees, extra sharp cheddar cheese, and holidays. 12 oz. bottle. Nice first effort by a new Chicago brewer. Bright Vienna malt smell in the pour, matching beer color, thin layer of bubbles. Dials back the hops to let some crunchy, toasty malts to the foreground. Fills me up pretty well. A bit of German hop pepper builds up on my soft palate. Worth presenting and serving as a good new Chicago beer, while all the sports and tourist venues keep spewing Miller-Bud.

16 oz draft poured on tap at Binnys South Loop (chicago, I’ll). Pours a moderate amberish hue, slight haze, moderate offwhite head that sticks around and laces, and well carbonated. Aromas are a bit or german hoppiness, light carmelized malts, a touch of malt stink. Initial has a good body for the style, light carmel malts balanced by german hoppiness, that bitters a bit on the finish, and the stink comes through. Pilsner malts? Where is the Vienna Spice? Finishes a touch toast and a touch hop. Ok, a good fresh replacement for sam adams but nothing to write home about. I am excited for and worried about this brewery at the same time. Cheers.

Picked up at Binny’s Glen Ellyn. Light orange pour with small white head. Caramelly aroma, with german hops and some sweet malt. Flavor is crisp and slightly caramelly. Nice finish of bitter hops. Dug this brew and am glad for more chicago brews.

12oz bottle 3/18/09 (Sam’s Wine & Spirits-Downers Grove)-Pours a medium golden body with a small white covering for a head. Aroma of hops, malt, and caramel. Taste of the same with a nice roasted malt flavor coming in the middle and lasting through the end. This medium bodied brew is a nicely balanced beer with great flavors. Nice job.

Gladly bought a sixer to support Chicago brewing. Pours a lovely clear glowing golden with lots of bubbles and a medium sudsy white head. Sweet malty aroma, bit of caramel, bread, light noble hops. Flavor follows, caramel, munich malt, a bit bready but sweet, light hop bitterness. Long munich caramel malt aftertaste. Fuller in body than the flywheel, slightly syrupy, and not quite as crisp. Bring on the dark lagers!

On tap. Pours orange with a white head. Lots of carbonation. Aroma is of hops, malt, grain, citrus, and spice. Taste is of malt, grain, and spice. Has a nice hop and citrus taste underneath. Mouthfeel is medium, and the finish is very crisp yet dry. I could definitely drink the hell out of this beer. Very tasty.

Very attractive amber color with a fluffy white head. The nose is caramel malt, and Continental hops and touches of roasty grain. Flavors pretty much followin line...roasted grain, sweet caramel malts, spicy continental floral hop bite, biscuits, dough, and very spritely carbonation. Another encouraging effort by a new and promising brewery in town. Now bring me an Alt!

Draft at Jerry’s. Orange-amber with modest, white head / Medium body, crisp but with moderate sweet malts and some dryness on the good finish / Flavors of toasted grain, bread, and burnt sugar / Very excited about this new brewery. Slight preference for the initial release, Flywheel, this a tad sugary, but still real good.

On tap at Lunar Brewing for the Metropolitan tapping. Poured a clear, deep reddish/gold tone, with a slowly diminishing, white head and nice, clingy lacing. The nose had strong malt tones with a touch of toastiness and noble hop aroma. The flavor added to these a light hop bitterness. Lively carbonation. Finished clean and lightly dry. Very quaffable.
