COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
If malt and hops are the two poles of brewing, this beer is the gently spinning sweet spot between them. First, you’ll notice the spicy aromas of Perle and Hallertau hops. Then - wipe the foam off the tip of your nose - dive into the toasty flavors of Vienna and Munich malts. Dynamo starts strong and finishes crisp and smooth. The balanced flavors, aromas, and even the coppery-red tones of this beer go great with everything. Fear no pairing. The best time to enjoy Dynamo is when you’re thirsty. Dynamo Copper Lager goes great with pizza, neighborhood block parties, spring rolls, first dates, football games, whiskey, tapas, the Sunday newspaper, late-night burritos, veggie omelets, business lunches, grilled mushrooms, pretzels, political debate, corn-on-the-cob, classic sci-fi flicks, mixed greens, campfires, salmon, billiards, cherry pie, rock shows, pumpernickel, salsa, grand openings, peanuts, sewing bees, extra sharp cheddar cheese, and holidays. UPDATED: MAY 21, 2009 Thanks to my girlfriend Molly for buying me a six pack by surprise, she’s so sweet. Pours light golden brown with a small white head. Aroma is very malty caramel and toast, really picking up those Vienna malts. Some subtle hops give it just a hint of spice. Flavor starts a very sweet caramel and lots of toast and a bit nutty. Finishes very smooth with very little hop presence or bitterness. Just a strong creamy malt character. Medium body and a moderate carbonation. Not a bad beer, easy drinking and refreshing. Reminds me a lot of Fat Tire, just a little hoppier.

Lightly hazed amber to tan colored liquid. Small, but stable, off-white head. Grains and lightly toasted malt aromas. A hint of grassy hops as well. Fairly thin in feel, but doesn’t seem watery. Actually has a lightly oily feel as it warms a bit. LIght sweet start with just a bit of caramel. Herbal hops in the middle dry things out. Finish and linger are earthy and dry. Lightly astringent in the linger. The late bite takes away from the overall smoothness, but still better than what I would have expected.

This is a local beer I tried on tap at a local bar. I remember this being much better in the bottle, rather light traditional German-esque lager, very refreshing and easy to drink. I support my local brewer!

12 oz bottle poured into a shaker pint at Dunlay’s in the logan square neighborhood - Chicago, Illinois. Pour is clear golden copper, with a nice white head. Aroma is nice soft floral hops, on top of clean cracker malt. Fresh, though a bit underwhleming. Taste is the nose, soft floral hops up front, decent backbone of malt in the middle, slight earth and mineral in the finish. Light to medium bodied, though a tad uncarbonated which made it a bit dead in the mouth.Taste broke down a bit as it warmed, though still nice enough.

Nice. Copper colores body with a thin clinging white head. The aroma is rather light but sweet. Medium palate with a decent punch of carbonation. Overall sweet flavor...caramel and brown sugar. There’s a slight bite at the end. Not a bad beer.

Poured into a pint glass. 3.0 A: Clear copper orange color. One and a half fingers of white head falls quickly and leaves no lacing. 3.5 S: Grainy with a strong cidery sweetness. Hops are grassy, but aren’t very powerful. The apple cider flavor, despite being considered a flaw, works very well in this one. 4.0 T: Grainy again with underlying caramel tones. The cider in the nose is only barely detectable in the taste. Again, grassy hops. Simple, yet tasty. 3.5 M: Light body. Good moderate carbonation. This could have a thicker body and be creamier, but not too bad. 4.0 D: Easy going down and refreshing. If this was meant to be super flavorful and complex, then they screwed up, but if this was meant to be a good thirst quenching beer, then they did just fine. Bottle thanks to motortoddhead. Amber in color. Skunky hops, grain, toasted malt, and caramel corn. Clean toasted malt with mild sweetness and round, clean bitterness on finish. Some lingering caramel in addition to the hops. Lightly dry. Digging a little of that raw grain malt flavor. Pretty good.

12oz bottle from Armanetti’s. Pours a crystal clear, golden-copper colored body with a finger-width, frothy, white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is soft floral hops and fruit with a touch of herbal spice over a pale, grainy, bready maltiness. A touch of honey and caramel. Flavor is clean and grainy up front with a light caramel and bready sweetness. A nice floral hopping and soft herbal spice with a touch of honey sweetness and some fruits before a hint of toast comes in. Some munich malt towards the end as this finishes dry with a light, clean bitterness and balanced sweetness. Fairly lengthy aftertaste following a medium-light, but fuller feeling, smooth body and a clean, medium-high carbonation. Overall, a very clean and fairly crisp Vienna. Really nice body with a pleasant grainy, bready, slightly honey-caramel sweet maltiness and a balanced, herbal bitterness and floral fruitiness. A solid go-to local 6-pack.

From the tap poured a brown color with a fair amount of head. Sweet malty flavor with a quick finish.

Poured a clear pale golden yellow. Since this was brought out to me by a waitress there was no noticeable head or lacing left by the time it got to my table. Has a nice wheat scent mixed with some floral and citrus hints. Has a slightly dry start with a crisp and clean finish. The finishing taste was a lot better than the beginning taste. I had completely forgot I had tried this beer before out of a bottle. I’m always one to say beer is better on tap but in this case I really didn’t think so.
