Cask pour at Blokes and Birds (Chicago, IL). Pours a a hazy yellow milkshake hue, murky with a big fiery lemon glow, biggish bright white head atop that laces ok. Aromas are as expected, touches of citrusy orange rind and mellow spicy coriander, touches of bread dough, some light apple fruit, pale malts, cereal grains. Initial is light bodied preaching some oily citrus rind zest, moderate coriander which is a bit much for me, moving into sweeter bready and cereal grains, touches of apples, fruit. Into the finish it dries up more, leaving cereal grains and mellow coriander with a touch of bitterness from the orange peel. Nice, a little better than the regular coriander spiced cask from Owen and Engine. Still, it seems very wit-ish, perhaps a bit more lively and light. Nice. An interesting one-off cask, very similar to the just Coriander cask as it is heavier, but the orange peel bitters it and gives some nice zesty life to it.
