pivnizub (7240) - Bochum, Porúří, - JAN 25, 2008
Bottle (bought from the junior-brewer): Deep amber coloured, mid-sized, slightly lacing off-white head, moderate dark-malty, a bit roast-malty nose, backed by a malty bitterness; medium bodied, quite soft MF, solid sweet bitter flavour; a bit coffeeish and fruity in the sweet dark-malty finish. Decent stuff, one of the better "Meusels"....

Bottled 500ml
Thanks bierkoning! Deep nut brown color, small off-white head, mostly vanishing. Rye bready aroma with hints of soy sauce. Medium to full bodied. Malty breadyness, HP sauce, alcohol. Quite active carbonation. Sticky, bold palate. Pretty sweet and alcoholic, but not too bad.

MiP (11783) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - NOV 2, 2011
Bottle, 7.5%. Slightly sweet aroma, a bit of soy. Very dark brown colour, seems clear. Semi-stable light brown head. The flavour starts off rather clean, then comes a little alcohol and brown sugar. Not very sweet, though. Hint of dark bread also.

Kristall-König (1647) - Oldenburg, GERMANY - AUG 9, 2011
Kerniger malzig-getreiger Geruch. Süßlich-würzig im Antrunk. Die Würzigkeit bleibt auch im Mittel erhalten und vermischt sich dort mit aromatischen Noten. Malzig-süßer und gut balancierter Abschied. Schöner Doppelbock. Test vom 13.11.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche

Koelschtrinker (7060) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - MAY 13, 2011

Bottled. A deep red beer with an off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel as well as light notes of bread, and an off-note.

Maria (8589) - Thisted, DENMARK - APR 21, 2010
It’s dark-brown with a huge, creamy head. The aroma has notes of caramel, light butterscotch and dark syrup. The sweet flavour has notes of caramel, dark fruits, dark syrup, light butterscotch and I find it harmonic and nice, and it hides the ABV very well.

Brown in colour, thin tan head, very light lacing. Aroma is malt, cookies, nuts, some light alcohol. Flavour is nutty, some caramel sweetness, minor alcohol, some chocolate. Sweet mouthfeel, medium body, moderate carbonation. Finishes sweet, nutty.

Not bad, a little thin. Cool to try.

500ml bottle obtained in a trade with Koelschtrinker, thanks Roman.
