COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This style of beer was invented in England by train porters around the turn of the century. The porters would meet at the pub after work and mix an Irish stout with a pale ale to create a slightly more, mild dark ale. This porter is 4.2% alcohol by volume.

One of the best Mia and Pias beers i’ve had, smooth chocolate, medium roast, very smooth palate. Soft earthy note in the finish, dark chocolate lives on in the aftertaste. Really good porter, big flavor for 4.2%.

Sampler at M&P. Pretty standard Porter, but after all the trash I waded through to get to this one it made it taste that much better. Previous description says it all.

Sampled draught at Mia & Pias Tap Room, Klamath Falls
Dark black, creamy head. Nose of very subtle roast & smoke like a fine molasses or maple syrup. None of the astringency of a stout. Nice finish, excellent porter.

Brown with amber edges. Tan head and big spots of lace. Aromas of chocolate and roast. Diacetyl appears here as well. Bitter hops, some roast with not a lot of chocolate. Buttery flavors.

Tap@Mia and Pias. fairly thin. Caramel, toasty, some chocolate. Pretty light though, but its alright.
