WakeandBake (422), Greenville, Michigan, USA Aug 14, 2008 Pours a nice clear medium dark with a semi-white head that doesn’t last,Aroma is faint roasted malts and hop spiciness. Taste is well balanced but unassertive, mostly caramel malt , along with slight hop bitterness, more hops would make this better, not bad for AB I would drink again. NomDeBeer (397), Maryland, USA Aug 14, 2008 It’s not amber in color, and it doesn’t have the alcohol content of a bock. Hmm? It is uneventfully drinkable though. BlackDonald (1127), Boise, Idaho, USA Aug 8, 2008 This beer actually isn’t bad. Sweet caramel maltiness, very light and a nice level of carbonation. Is pretty good with food and cleasning the palate, because it is not very heavy. Smooth and easy to drink. Not something I would buy a six pack of, but if it the only thing decent on tap when I am out than I will drink it. MexiFinn (42), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Aug 5, 2008 A very good tasting American beer, very drinkable and inexpensive ($5.99 for a six pack locally), provides a nice beer buzz for the money! Cheers! ewestern (198), Ohio, USA Aug 3, 2008 Darker Michelob, little more taste that other macro brews. Smooth easy drink. AndyReynolds (280), Wilder, Kentucky, USA Aug 3, 2008 Despite the way this beer looks when poured, it is nothing more than a regular Michelob with a tad bit more hops and some dark food coloring added for appearence. Bigmmartin (366), Dayton, Ohio, USA Aug 3, 2008 "American Dark Lager" = "American Pale Lager + Food Coloring". BeerBaron617 (306), Novi, Michigan, USA Jul 31, 2008 I had this on tap at this resturant called Grapevine in Novi, MI. It poured a dark amber with an off white head. I wasn’t informed of the brewer, which I thought was rather unproffesional, given the nature of the resturaunt. Anywho, with brand blindness in order, I gave it a sip, and I wasn’t super impressed, but enjoyed it’s drinkabilty. It has a subtle smokey flavor, with a watery body and thin mouthfeel. Not a very tasty brew, but if offered, I would drink this again.
