bluemooner (229), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Jun 24, 2008 Updated: Apr 1, 2009Pours an attractive amber color with very thin, creamy white head. The appearence of this beer is the best quality about it. It tastes nothing like it looks. A rather grainy, somewhat bitter flavor to it, and quite watered down. Not terrible for a macro brewer’s attempt at a craft beer but not great overall. Underhook (162), Lincoln Park, New Jersey, USA Jun 24, 2008 This was a gateway to craft beers for me. Now that I go back to it, the watery character really destroys the beer for me. It’s not a terrible taste. Very malty, roasted flavor. But too watery. For an Aheuser Busch beer it isn’t all that bad. Worth a try, but I probably won’t go back to it. Butters (1622), Virginia, USA Jun 24, 2008 This genuinely is not a bad beer. Pours a dark golden copper with red highlights and fair tan head. Not much aroma at all. Smells corny and a bit grainy, but not offensive. Tasted of toasted malt and a bit nutty. Medium bodied with a sweet finish. I would certainly drink this again. unclemattie (2370), Georgia, USA Jun 22, 2008 12oz twist-off bottle. Medium brown color, with a rocky eggshell colored head. Aroma of toffee and spicy hops. Hints of corn. Flavor is a sweet toasted malt. Light lingering flavors of a hop bitterness. A bit too light bodied for me to enjoy. If the original gravity was a bit more bold, this would be a potential homerun. Until then, I wouldn’t, waste time drinking this again. 184601 (143), Mexicali, Mexico Jun 20, 2008 Crap, i expected better from the Michelob guys.Bavarian hops? Yeah sure.I prefer Negra Modelo, wont buy it again. arventresca (334), Greenville, North Carolina, USA Jun 20, 2008 Bottle. Pours amber with a white creamy head. A smooth beer. Taste is kind of watered down. Nothing special, but not the worst macro. Would drink again I guess. IlanMan (816), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA Jun 20, 2008 Pour was amber color with full head. Aroma was light of malt and hops. Flavor was quite watered down and not exciting. Would not buy again. Bad brew. Stay away. MrBeerFanatic (344), jamestown, New York, USA Jun 16, 2008 Deep amber. Foamy light brown head. Light taste of caramel, nut and slightly roasted malts. Has kind of a creamy mouth feel. There is a slight metallic taste in the end but not very noticeable. I was surprised at this one, as it was decent coming from anheuser.
