Has a slight aroma of caramel. Has a roasted malt taste with a hint of caramel. Finsih is kind of strong, yet a little sweet. The beer seems to come more alive as it warms up. An exceptional beer for being pretty inexpensive and is one of my favorite beers to get on tap. epf33 (222), Fairfax, Virginia, USA

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Feb 17, 2008 Pours a redish brown color and smells of sweet grains. Flavor was slightly sweet, but very watery. A good beer for when your only choices are the other major macros. TomDecapolis (3149), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Feb 15, 2008 Had this as part of the Brewmasters program at Sea World. Pours a mostly translucent deep amber with a medium creamy off white head. Aroma of molasses, grains, a touch of citrus and doughy. Flavor was about the same...kind of thin and watery to be a true Bock beer. Swalden28 (1446), McKinney, Texas, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Feb 14, 2008 Michelob actually made a decient tasting beer but it is no Bock...maybe has some traits of a bock but thats it...oook, onto the beer.....It poured a nice dark amber color and actually had a nice off white head with ok retention. Not much aroma but you can pick up some dark roast notes. Flavor is somewhat weak but it’s there....slight dark roast taste...slightly, slightly sweet...You can also detect some bitter.....medium-high carbonation.......The beer says 5.2% ABV......but thats not from pure malt.....or there would be more flavor....Over all, I wouldn’t slap this out of my buddy’s hands.....good entry level dark lager. Not bad at all for a Macro..... ROGUE (641), Newark, Delaware, USA
