| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 20, 2009 Pint glass from tap. Copper brown color, quickly dissipating head. Slight malty aroma and flavor with a slight caramel taste to it. Slightly thick mouthfeel, smooth finish with slight linger in the finish. Used to be one of my favorite beers but seems watered down and low on flavor now. Good beer for something looking to cross over into darker beers for the first time. adavis234 (133), Columbia, South Carolina, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 19, 2009 12 oz bottle. The amber coloring is dark, almost so dark that it drifts out of amber and into just plain brown. Watery nose with a hint of roasted malt, but not much there. Taste is similar - not displeasing but the toasted malt flavor exists only as a very subtle undercurrent to the flavor. As expected, better than your average macro, but a macro nonetheless. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 16, 2009 Bottle pour into special Michelob lager glass Aug 15, 2009. Pours a dark amber with moderate off-white head that mostly diminishes. Slight lacing throughout. Aroma of caramel malt, sweet to the finish. This beer is above average, but a bit too sweet for my tastes. One of the best of the Mich family of A-B beers. Blaze312 (132), Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Aug 11, 2009 12oz Bottle. Pours a brown color with a thick head that dissipates. Aroma is a little bland, some roasted scents. Not much to taste here, I would say mostly like Michelob, but with more malts included. Can’t say that I am really a fan. OSLO (826), Perth, Australia
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 2, 2009 [Bottle] Pours cola brown with a large off-white head that dies down to a thin film. Aroma is initially quite bad--metallic, green grape, notes of malt, and faint bubblegum. Too sweet overall, but it did improve with a bit of warming, as the metallic aspect faded and the roasted malt was accentuated. Taste is a little better. Mostly just roasted malt especially towards the back end, with almost no bitterness. Fairly thin, but quite smooth. Finish is average in length and just a little dry. Overall, the aroma of this beer ruins it. I was borderline 3 on it, and it made it very difficult to enjoy it. Otherwise, it is a below-average, albeit drinkable beer that has a simple taste that really isn’t bad. scrizzz (1263), kirkland, Washington, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jul 25, 2009 Rich dark copper, thick temporary head, fell to a very thin covering. Fair vegetable aroma with some funky body odor. And it’s not me. But it’s not explosive and there’s some caramel malt there. Clean and pale, some nutty roasted character, very soft throughout. Not a bad beer at all, I didn’t finish the bottle because I wanted to drink other beers tonight. yespr (11955), Copenhagen O, Denmark
