DowntownGator (22), Florida, USA Nov 3, 2007 Michelob doesn’t make a sophisticated beer and they failed at this one too. Maybe added some food coloring to its flagship ultra light.
It’s bad, and a disgrace to legitimate bocks. latneyblunk (40), Kentucky, USA Oct 27, 2007 Not much in the aroma department. Hints of yeast and malt but very very slight. Pours a very transparent reddish brown with no head to speak of as it dissipates instantly. Tastes slightly bitter with a watery finish. No caramel or malty notes that I see in most other examples of dark lager. Disturbes the palate with a watered down feel. I am not sure what the brewer was attempting here, bud light with artificial color? Not a staple of the Bock genre. williamcoggin (11), Tucson, Arizona, USA Oct 25, 2007 Pretty Tasteless, but is somewhat better if not too cold. There are many dark lagers so much better than this one! dancatts (91), Pennsylvania, USA Oct 22, 2007 Absolutely way too watered down for any type of beer. Poured a darker brown with a mild aroma that mislead to the lack of flavor in this beer. Won’t be trying this one again. Foxbush (452), Richmond, Virginia, USA Oct 21, 2007 This was tasted for the first time in Mississippi. The dark color was deep and with slight aroma of roasted malt. It was better than expected. I like dark beers and this one fits the bill. In the town of Gauthier they have bar called Hucks where this is served. DTM (541), Winters, California, USA Oct 16, 2007 Updated: Nov 26, 2007Pours pretty dark with a light tan head. Not much taste to it, slightly carmel flavor, but like others have said before, pretty good for the price pumpmaster (473), Pembroke Pines, Florida, USA Oct 15, 2007 12ounce bottle available at all supermarkets for less than $1.00 At some restaurants best draft choice. SynergyXJ (506), Blacksburg, Virginia, USA Oct 12, 2007 Draught Dark pour with thick head. Light aroma and flavor. Not much for a bock, but not bad for $1 draughts, wouldn’t pay more.
